Playtech is a gaming software provider that has been instrumental in the development of online gambling as we know it today. They were not only an early product creator in the industry, but also an innovator in the realm of live dealer casinos.
Playtech, through a limited launch of one of its Asian-targeted platforms in 2003, was the company that first introduced the concept of streaming dealer games.
Now they are entering into the American market by opening two state-of-the-art casinos in the states of New Jersey and Michigan, where locals will be able to play live table games.
Playtech’s two new studios are being launched in conjunction with New Jersey’s bet365 and Michigan’s Parx Interactive. Naturally, they are doing this only after receiving permission from the relevant authorities in New Jersey and Michigan.
This is a huge step for Playtech as it opens the US market to its first live casino service.
Southfield, a city in Oakland County, is home to the Michigan facility. Oakland County is a northern suburb of Detroit. As was previously reported, Playtech and Parx Interactive will jointly manage this venue.
The Gun Lake Band of Potawatomi Indians’ gaming partner is a well-known US online casino and sportsbook firm that is also present in Pennsylvania.
Playtech’s live games for the New Jersey market will be broadcast from an Atlantic City studio. Bet365 customers in New Jersey will be able to use Playtech’s live tables at the world-famous gambling hub.
Playtech’s live casino division head Edo Haitin released a statement commemorating the momentous occasion, saying:
This is a watershed event for the company’s expansion in the United States. The opening of these two venues is a major step toward establishing a new benchmark for live gaming in the North American market.
Also, no other service provider has ever managed to simultaneously open two state-of-the-art live studios in different locations within the United States.
As such, the Playtech team may take great pride in this achievement, as it is highly unlikely to be replicated by any competing service in the near future.
Live Dealer Casinos by Playtech
Playtech is the longest-running live game provider in the world, despite the fact that most seasoned players associate live table games with Evolution Gaming. It entered the game-streaming market three years before Evolution did, but it today lags behind Evolution on a global scale.
However, Playtech can hold its own against Evolution in terms of the quality of its offerings. Quantum Roulette, the company’s first push into exclusive table games and other streaming products, debuted in September 2019.
It’s fun thanks to its unique take on roulette and its bright, neon aesthetic. In this game, the multipliers can increase a player’s bet by a factor of 500!
Quantum Roulette has been one of the top 100 most played games for the past two years, and it has been a hit with fans of online gambling games ever since its release.
Playtech: A Quick Introductory Look
Playtech was established in 1999 by Israeli businessman Teddy Sagi. Although it had its beginnings in Tartu, Estonia, its current operations are based in Douglas, the Isle of Man’s capital. Since releasing their initial gaming product in 2001, the company has created around 600 interactive games that are offered to consumers in 47 different countries.
Playtech has collaborated with various major gaming companies during the course of its twenty years in business. William Hill, Snai, Sisal, Ladbrokes, and the previously mentioned Bet365 are all examples. Over time, they have also amassed a number of slot makers, including YoYo Games and QuickSpin.
In a $3.7 billion agreement finalized in October 2021, Playtech was acquired by Aristocrat Leisure. However, it continues to function independently. Aristocrat bought Playtech because of the latter’s business-to-business capabilities in the United States and Europe.
